When you do collect through Catertoo, you pay Stripe's standard card rate (2.9% + 30¢) at cost - we never mark it up - plus a small Catertoo platform fee that shrinks as you grow.
On a $12,000 event payment, Catertoo's fee is capped at $20 on Free - and $0 on Premium. Card processing is the same as anywhere; we just pass it through at cost.

Clients pay on Stripe's hosted checkout - card details never touch our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and adds fraud protection like 3D Secure.
Proposal to invoice in one click
Once a client accepts a proposal, you generate an invoice directly from the accepted line items and totals. No re-entering amounts, no risk of the invoice not matching the proposal the client signed.
Online card payment
Clients pay securely by card through our Stripe-powered checkout - from any device, without creating an account. Funds go directly to your connected bank account.
Deposits & balances
Collect a deposit at signing and the balance closer to the event - or take the full amount upfront. Catertoo tracks what's been paid and what's still outstanding so you never have to check a spreadsheet.
Marketplace fees via Stripe Connect
Our payment infrastructure is built on Stripe Connect, the same platform used by major hospitality and marketplace businesses. Platform fees are handled transparently, and your funds settle directly - not through an intermediary account.

The client accepts the proposal online. The amounts lock and the acceptance is recorded on the event timeline.
Generate the invoice
With one click, an invoice is created from the accepted proposal - the same numbers the client agreed to, ready to send.
Client pays online
The client opens the invoice link and pays by card - deposit now, balance later, or the full amount. Stripe handles the secure checkout.
Funds settle to your account
Payment settles directly to your connected Stripe bank account. The payment is recorded and the invoice is marked as settled.
